As of October 2026, Facebook monetization in Pakistan is largely unavailable: Meta reportedly stopped accepting Pakistani payout and tax details in March 2025, and its invite-only Content Monetization is reportedly not offered here. Check your own Page under Professional Dashboard → Monetization. Brand deals and sponsored posts are the dependable Facebook income for Pakistani creators today.

Is Facebook monetization in Pakistan available in 2026?

Largely no, as of October 2026. Pakistani creators can still run Pages, post Reels and go live, but the ways Meta itself pays creators have either been switched off for Pakistani payout details or were never opened here. Most of the confusion about FB monetization in Pakistan comes from guides written before those changes.

Three events explain where things stand: Stars arrived in 2022, Pakistani payout details stopped being accepted in 2025, and Meta replaced its old ad programs with an invite-only one that Pakistan is reportedly not part of. Rules like these change with little notice, so treat this page as a dated snapshot and check your own Page as described below.

Facebook monetization Pakistan timeline: 2022 to 2026

Stars came first. Facebook Stars, the paid tips viewers send during live and recorded videos, launched for Pakistani creators in December 2022 for those with at least 1,000 followers who had been active in the previous 60 days (Express Tribune).

Then the payout route closed. On 17 March 2025, Meta reportedly stopped accepting Pakistani bank accounts and tax details for monetization payouts (ProPakistani). The News reported that in-stream ads, subscriptions and Stars were disabled for affected creators (The News).

Meanwhile the programs themselves changed. In October 2024 Meta announced Facebook Content Monetization, merging In-stream ads, Ads on Reels and the Performance Bonus into one program (Meta for Creators). The old programs ended on 31 August 2025, so creators who once qualified for in-stream ads have nothing to return to under the old rules.

Facebook page monetization in Pakistan: is Content Monetization open?

Not as of October 2026, as far as can be confirmed. Content Monetization is invite-only, and Pakistan is reportedly not on its list of eligible countries, while India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka are. A Pakistani Page cannot apply its way in; Meta has to invite it.

One report muddied this. In May 2026, PhoneWorld claimed Meta was gradually rolling Content Monetization out in Pakistan, but the report rested on a single screenshot and remains unconfirmed. If an invitation ever reaches your Page, the place it will show is your own Professional Dashboard, not a forwarded screenshot.

Be wary of anyone selling Facebook monetization as a service. No agent can add your Page to an invite-only program or change the country Meta holds on file for you.

Facebook monetization criteria in Pakistan: why the old numbers no longer apply

The follower and minute thresholds quoted in most Pakistani guides describe programs that have ended. The figures you see repeated, 5,000 or 10,000 followers and 600,000 minutes viewed, come from discontinued programs such as In-stream ads, which Meta folded into Content Monetization before closing them on 31 August 2025.

Because Content Monetization is invite-only, there is no follower count that earns a place in it. A Page that would have cleared every old threshold is in the same position today as a new one: waiting for Meta to offer the feature in Pakistan.

What still matters are the basics Meta applies to any monetized Page: original content, following its community and monetization policies, and accurate account and payout information.

Facebook monetization in Pakistan requirements: how to check your own Page

The reliable answer for your Page is in Meta's own tool. Open the Page's Professional Dashboard and go to Monetization, which shows the monetization tools Meta offers and whether your Page is eligible for any of them.

  1. Switch into your Page (or professional-mode profile) and open Professional Dashboard.
  2. Open Monetization and read the status Meta shows against each tool listed.
  3. Note any reason Meta gives, such as country availability or a policy issue.
  4. Fix what is in your control, such as content that breaks Meta's policies.
  5. Check again every few weeks, since availability can change without an announcement.

Should you use a foreign payout account?

No. Do not get round a country block with a foreign bank account, a relative's overseas details or a paid monetization agent. Giving Meta inaccurate payout or location information breaks its rules on accurate information and puts the Page's monetization, and possibly the Page itself, at risk.

The safe path is the dull one: keep checking the Monetization tab, keep the Page clean, and earn from brands in the meantime.

What would happen to tax if Facebook payouts resume?

If Meta payouts to Pakistani bank accounts return, they would meet the new withholding rule. Under Section 154B, added by the Finance Act 2026, banks have deducted 5% since 1 July 2026 when YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok revenue reaches a Pakistani account. It is a minimum tax for residents on the Active Taxpayers List, and non-filers are reportedly charged 10% (Profit; ProPakistani).

Brand-deal payments are separate and can fall under Section 153 withholding instead; the creator tax guide explains how Section 153 works. This is a summary of reported rules, not tax advice, so confirm your position with a tax adviser or the FBR.

What Pakistani Facebook creators earn from today

Brand deals. A Page with a real Pakistani audience is worth money to Pakistani brands whether or not Meta pays a rupee, and that is where dependable Facebook income comes from in 2026.

  • Sponsored posts and Reels: a brand pays a fixed fee, agreed in advance, for a post, Reel or Story on your Page.
  • Sponsored lives: product launches, Q&As or sale streams on your Page, paid as a flat fee rather than through Stars.
  • Repurposing: the same video cut for YouTube, where the Partner Program is available in Pakistan; see YouTube earning in Pakistan.
  • Your own products or services, sold off-platform with the Page as the shop window.

How much do Facebook brand deals pay in Pakistan?

It depends on niche, city, audience and deliverable. As an editorial estimate, a micro creator with 10,000–50,000 followers typically charges PKR 12,000–45,000 per deliverable nationally.

The price calculator narrows that range by niche, city and follower band. Quote a live session or a bundle of posts as its own deliverable rather than throwing it in with a post.

How Shaheeno helps Pakistani Facebook creators get paid

Shaheeno is a Pakistan-only marketplace where brands hire creators and pay in PKR, and its creator toolkit treats Facebook Pages as a main channel.

  • Gigs and campaigns: publish fixed-price gigs for Facebook posts, Reels or lives at your own prices, or apply to brand campaign briefs with a proposal.
  • Escrow: the brand funds each order up front, held in its Shaheeno wallet, and the money is released to your wallet when the brand approves the delivery, minus your plan commission (creator pricing). Your first-ever released order is commission-free.
  • PKR payouts: withdraw to a Pakistani bank, JazzCash or Easypaisa with no payout fee. The Shaheeno team reviews and sends each request by hand.
  • Scheduling: AI Studio publishes to Facebook Pages and can schedule Page posts for a chosen time, as it can for YouTube.
  • Go Live: stream from your browser to your Facebook Page and YouTube at the same time; see Live Studio.
  • Comments: the Social Manager inbox gathers comments on your Facebook Page posts, with AI-drafted replies from Anthropic's Claude that you edit before sending.

Frequently asked questions

Is Facebook monetization available in Pakistan in 2026?

As of October 2026, largely not. Meta reportedly stopped accepting Pakistani bank accounts and tax details for monetization payouts in March 2025, and its invite-only Content Monetization is reportedly not offered in Pakistan. A May 2026 report of a rollout remains unconfirmed. Check your own status in your Page's Professional Dashboard under Monetization, because availability can change without an announcement.

What are the Facebook monetization criteria in Pakistan?

No follower number qualifies a Pakistani Page today. The 5,000 or 10,000 followers and 600,000 minutes quoted in older guides belong to discontinued programs such as In-stream ads, which ended on 31 August 2025. Their replacement, Content Monetization, is invite-only and reportedly not open to Pakistan as of October 2026. Meta's content and accurate-information rules still apply to every Page.

Can I use a foreign bank account for FB monetization in Pakistan?

You should not. Giving Meta payout or location details that do not match where you actually live breaks its rules on accurate information and puts the Page's monetization, and possibly the Page, at risk. The safe path is to check the Monetization section of your Professional Dashboard, wait for Meta to offer the feature in Pakistan, and earn from brand deals meanwhile.

Are Facebook Stars still available in Pakistan?

Stars launched for Pakistani creators in December 2022. After Meta reportedly stopped accepting Pakistani payout and tax details in March 2025, The News reported that Stars, in-stream ads and subscriptions were disabled for affected creators. As of October 2026, treat Stars as unavailable unless your own Professional Dashboard shows otherwise, and check its Monetization tab for your Page's current status.

How do Pakistani creators make money from Facebook without monetization?

Mainly through brand deals: sponsored posts, Reels, Stories and live sessions on their Pages, paid as a fixed fee. Many also repurpose videos to YouTube, whose Partner Program is available in Pakistan, and sell their own products or services. On Shaheeno, brands fund each order up front in PKR and the money is released to the creator when the brand approves the delivery.

Is Facebook income taxed in Pakistan?

Under Section 154B of the Finance Act 2026, banks have deducted 5% since 1 July 2026 when Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or TikTok revenue reaches a Pakistani account, as a minimum tax for residents on the Active Taxpayers List; non-filers are reportedly charged 10%. Brand-deal fees can fall under Section 153 instead. This is not tax advice, so confirm with a tax adviser or the FBR.
