Best Time to Post on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube in Pakistan (2026)

No study measures Pakistan hour by hour. Here are starting slots in PKT from the big 2026 studies, and a four-week method to find your own best time.

As a starting point, the best time to post in Pakistan is Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons (12–7pm PKT) on Instagram, weekday afternoons (2–6pm) on TikTok, and weekday mornings or Sunday 10am for YouTube videos, with Shorts at 7–9pm. These slots come from global 2026 studies, not Pakistani data, so confirm them in your own analytics.

Best time to post in Pakistan: a starting schedule in PKT

Use the slots below as starting points, not rules. They come from the large 2026 studies cited in each section, which report times in the audience's local time, so for a Pakistani audience they read directly as PKT.

No credible Pakistan-specific, hour-by-hour study exists. The global studies are also skewed towards customers of scheduling tools, which means more brands and agencies than Pakistani creators. Your own analytics outrank all of them once you have a few weeks of data.

  • Instagram: Tuesday and Wednesday, 12–7pm PKT; go lighter at weekends.
  • TikTok: Tuesday to Thursday, 2–6pm PKT, plus one Saturday slot to test.
  • YouTube videos: weekday mornings, 7–11am PKT, or Sunday at 10am.
  • YouTube Shorts: 7–9pm PKT, with Friday afternoon as a test slot.

Best time to post on Instagram in Pakistan

Weekday afternoons, with Tuesday and Wednesday strongest. Sprout Social's 2026 analysis of about 2 billion engagements across roughly 307,000 profiles found the best windows on Monday 2–4pm, Tuesday 1–7pm, Wednesday 12–9pm and Thursday 12–2pm, with weekends weakest and 3–7am worth avoiding (Sprout Social, March 2026).

Hootsuite's study of more than 1 million posts leans later: Monday 3–9pm, Tuesday 5–8am and 3–7pm, Wednesday 5pm, Thursday 4–5pm, Friday around 4pm, Saturday 11am and around 5pm, and Sunday 12–3pm (Hootsuite, July 2026).

Start where they overlap, mid-afternoon on weekdays, and test where they differ: Hootsuite's early Tuesday slot and its weekend times against Sprout's finding that weekends are weakest. Starting slots for the best time to post on Instagram in Pakistan:

  • Tuesday 3–7pm PKT
  • Wednesday 12–5pm PKT
  • Monday 3–4pm PKT
  • Test slot: Sunday 12–3pm PKT

Best time to post on TikTok in Pakistan

Weekday early afternoons are the safest base, but the studies on the best time to post on TikTok disagree more than for any other platform. Buffer's analysis of more than 7.1 million posts named Saturday the best day, with top slots on Sunday at 9am, Monday at 1pm and Sunday at 1pm; its best hour by day was Monday 1pm, Tuesday 6am, Wednesday 10pm, Thursday 1pm, Friday 6pm, Saturday 5pm and Sunday 9am (Buffer, September 2026).

Sprout Social points the other way: Tuesday to Thursday, 2–6pm, and avoid weekends (Sprout Social, March 2026). Hootsuite's earlier study suggested Thursday 6–9am and Saturday 10am–6pm (Hootsuite, November 2025).

So Buffer favours weekends and Sprout avoids them. Run weekday afternoons as your base, put one weekend slot against it, and let your own follower activity chart break the tie. Starting slots for the best time to post on TikTok in Pakistan:

  • Monday or Thursday 1pm PKT
  • Tuesday to Thursday 2–6pm PKT
  • Test slot: Saturday 5pm PKT

Best time to post on YouTube from Pakistan

Weekday mornings or Sunday at 10am for long-form, evenings for Shorts. Buffer's study of 1.8 million videos found long-form did best on Sunday at 10am, with weekday mornings around 7–11am strong and Thursday the weakest day; Shorts peaked on Friday at 4pm and in the evening between 7pm and 9pm (Buffer, July 2026).

SocialPilot's 2026 analysis of 301,000 videos disagrees on long-form, favouring 2–4pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and puts Shorts at 12–2pm or 6–7pm, best on Friday, Saturday and Thursday (SocialPilot). Note the Thursday split: weakest for Buffer, among the best for SocialPilot.

Of the three platforms, the best time to post on YouTube is the least fixed, because a video can keep finding viewers through search and suggestions long after its first evening. Starting slots:

  • Long-form: Sunday 10am PKT, or a weekday between 7am and 11am PKT
  • Long-form test slot: Wednesday or Friday 2–4pm PKT
  • Shorts: 7–9pm PKT, or Friday 4pm PKT

How to find your own best time to post

Your own analytics beat any study, because they measure your followers rather than an average of millions. Each platform shows when your audience is online:

  • Instagram: Instagram Insights → Most active times, by day and hour. You need a professional account with at least 100 followers.
  • TikTok: TikTok Studio (or Analytics) → Followers → follower activity. Check whether the chart is labelled UTC; if it is, add 5 hours for PKT, so a 9am UTC peak is 2pm PKT.
  • YouTube: YouTube Studio → Analytics → Audience → When your viewers are on YouTube. It covers the last 28 days and shows when your viewers are active across YouTube, not only on your channel.
  • Facebook: Meta Business Suite → Insights. Which audience charts appear can vary, so check what your Page shows.

Followers abroad? Check the time zone split

If a large share of your followers live in the UK, the US or the Gulf, PKT alone is the wrong clock. Check the top countries or cities in your audience analytics before you fix a schedule.

The gaps are wide. The UAE is one hour behind PKT and Saudi Arabia two; the UK is five hours behind in winter and four in summer; US Eastern time is ten hours behind in winter and nine in summer. An 8pm PKT post lands at 7pm in Dubai, 3pm in London in winter and 10am in New York.

For a Pakistan-plus-Gulf audience, a 9–11pm PKT slot catches evening in both. A large US following needs its own slot, which is easier with a scheduled post than an alarm.

Does the best time to post change in Ramadan?

It may, but there is no Pakistani data to say how. No study measures Pakistani social media activity by hour during Ramadan. Regional reporting from the Middle East puts the peaks before iftar and after midnight; treat that as a regional pattern, not a Pakistani finding.

The practical move: check your Most active times or follower activity chart in the first week of Ramadan, move a few posts to the pre-iftar and late-night windows, and compare them with your usual slots. Return to your normal schedule after Eid and check again.

How big are these audiences in Pakistan?

TikTok has the largest ad reach in Pakistan, followed by YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, according to DataReportal's Digital 2026 report, published in November 2025 (DataReportal).

These are advertising-reach figures, not active users, so read them as a sense of scale rather than a count of people online at any hour.

  • TikTok: 79.9 million (adults 18+)
  • YouTube: 54.3 million
  • Facebook: 52.9 million
  • Instagram: 22.4 million

Test for four weeks: a simple method

Four weeks of alternating two slots tells you more than any chart, because it measures your own audience rather than someone else's average:

  1. Pick two slots per platform: one from the studies above, one from your own analytics peak.
  2. Alternate them for four weeks, keeping format, length and topic as similar as you can.
  3. Compare each post at the same age, for example after its first day and after a week, on reach or views and on engagement.
  4. Keep the winner as your default and put a new challenger slot against it the following month.
  5. Re-check after anything that changes your audience's day: Ramadan, exams, or a burst of new followers from abroad.

How Shaheeno helps you post at the right time

Shaheeno's AI Studio can schedule YouTube videos and Facebook Page posts for a time you choose, so a 9am PKT upload or a late-night post for Gulf followers does not need you at a laptop. A scheduled YouTube video is uploaded as Private and goes public at the set time.

Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn posts from AI Studio publish as soon as you submit, so post those at your chosen slot yourself. Shaheeno does not suggest a best time for you; you pick it from your own analytics.

The Social Manager dashboard puts your connected YouTube channel's views, watch time and subscribers in one place, refreshed at most every 6 hours, and the engagement rate calculator gives a like-for-like number for each test post. Creators who want brand work too can start at Shaheeno for creators; our guides to YouTube earning in Pakistan and TikTok earning in Pakistan cover the money side.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to post on Instagram in Pakistan?

No Pakistan-specific study exists, but 2026 global data read in local time points to weekday afternoons: Tuesday 1–7pm and Wednesday 12–9pm PKT were strongest in Sprout Social's analysis, with weekends weakest. Hootsuite's data leans later, around 3–7pm. Start with Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, then check Most active times in Instagram Insights and adjust to your own followers.

What is the best time to post on TikTok in Pakistan?

Start with weekday afternoons, roughly 1–6pm PKT, and test one Saturday slot. The 2026 studies disagree: Buffer found Saturday the best day and Sunday 9am a top slot, while Sprout Social recommends Tuesday to Thursday 2–6pm and avoiding weekends. Check the follower activity chart in TikTok Studio, adding 5 hours if it is shown in UTC.

What is the best time to post on YouTube in Pakistan?

For long videos, Buffer's 2026 study points to Sunday at 10am and weekday mornings, 7–11am, in the viewer's local time, which is PKT for a Pakistani audience; SocialPilot favours 2–4pm midweek. For Shorts, try 7–9pm or Friday 4pm. Then open YouTube Studio → Analytics → Audience → When your viewers are on YouTube to see your own pattern.

Does the best time to post in Pakistan change during Ramadan?

It may, but there is no Pakistani hourly data to show it. Regional reporting from the Middle East puts social media peaks before iftar and after midnight during Ramadan. Treat that as a hypothesis: check your own audience activity charts in the first week, test a few posts in those windows against your usual slots, and switch back after Eid.

Should I post in PKT if many of my followers live abroad?

Only if most of them are in Pakistan. Check the top countries in your audience analytics first. The UAE is one hour behind PKT, Saudi Arabia two, the UK five in winter and four in summer, and US Eastern time nine or ten. A 9–11pm PKT slot suits a Pakistan-plus-Gulf audience; a large US following needs a separate, scheduled slot.
