YouTube Earning in Pakistan: Partner Program, RPM and Brand Deals (2026)

What YouTube actually pays Pakistani creators: YPP thresholds, RPM vs CPM, a hand-worked earnings calculator, tax on AdSense income and brand deals.

YouTube earning in Pakistan comes from two sources: ad revenue through the YouTube Partner Program (1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours or 10 million Shorts views) and sponsored brand deals. Unofficial estimates put Pakistan-audience RPM at roughly $0.20 to $2 per 1,000 views, so ad income alone needs large view counts to add up.

How to earn from YouTube in Pakistan: the two income streams

There are two dependable streams: YouTube's ad revenue share through the YouTube Partner Program, and sponsored content paid for directly by brands. Anyone working out how to earn money from YouTube in Pakistan should plan for both, because ad revenue depends on where your viewers live, while brand deals depend on who they are.

Ad revenue needs eligibility first; brand deals do not. If you are starting from zero, our Roman Urdu guide covers how to set up a channel and the first ten videos.

YouTube Partner Program Pakistan eligibility (as of October 2026)

The standard YouTube Partner Program is available in Pakistan (YouTube Help). To apply you need 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 1,000 subscribers plus 10 million public Shorts views in the last 90 days. Watch hours from Shorts in the Shorts feed do not count toward the 4,000 (YouTube Help).

The rest of the checklist for YouTube monetization in Pakistan: follow YouTube's channel monetization policies, have no active Community Guidelines strikes, turn on 2-Step Verification for your Google account and link one AdSense for YouTube account. The lower 500-subscriber tier offered in India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE is not available in Pakistan (YouTube Help).

A change is coming. From 1 February 2027, new applicants will need 1,000 subscribers plus 8,000 watch hours or 20 million Shorts views, and existing partners must accept updated terms by 31 January 2027 (YouTube Help). Check your live status in YouTube Studio → Earn.

How much YouTube pays in Pakistan: RPM vs CPM

On third-party estimates, YouTube pays roughly $0.20 to $2 per 1,000 views for Pakistan-audience content, with Shorts far lower. YouTube publishes no official figure, so treat that as a rough, unofficial range.

The number in question is RPM. CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions, before YouTube takes its share; RPM is what you actually receive per 1,000 views after YouTube's share, counting views that showed no ad. YouTube CPM in Pakistan is low by global standards because advertisers bid less to reach Pakistani viewers than viewers in larger ad markets such as the US or UK, and RPM follows CPM down.

So for searches like 'how much YouTube pay for 1k views in Pakistan', the answer on those estimates is $0.20 to $2 per 1,000 views, before tax. Your own number moves with the viewer's country, your topic (some niches attract more advertisers than others), the season and how many of your views are on Shorts.

One concrete anchor exists. FBR's 2026 tax benchmark assumes Rs 195 per 1,000 monetised YouTube views (Arab News). That is a tax assumption, not a YouTube rate, but at an illustrative Rs 280 per dollar it works out to about $0.70 per 1,000 views, inside the unofficial range.

YouTube earnings calculator: work it out by hand

Use one formula: estimated ad earnings ≈ monetised views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. Before you are in the Partner Program, use the unofficial range; after, use the RPM YouTube Studio shows for your own channel, because that is the only figure that reflects your audience.

Hypothetical example: a channel gets 100,000 monetised views. At three points across the unofficial range, converted at Rs 280 per dollar purely for illustration:

  • $0.50 RPM: 100 × $0.50 = $50, about Rs 14,000
  • $1 RPM: 100 × $1 = $100, about Rs 28,000
  • $2 RPM: 100 × $2 = $200, about Rs 56,000

What the calculator leaves out

Deductions come next. In the $100 case, Pakistan's 5% bank withholding takes about Rs 1,400, leaving roughly Rs 26,600 before any US tax on earnings from US viewers and your bank's conversion spread. Online tools sold as a 'YouTube earning calculator Pakistan' generally multiply views by an assumed rate and skip these steps, so treat their output as a guess too.

The same arithmetic explains why brand deals matter. To earn a given sum from ads at a low RPM you need very large view counts, while a sponsorship is priced on your audience. For typical PKR sponsorship ranges by niche, city and follower band, use our price calculator.

How to earn from YouTube Shorts in Pakistan

Shorts pay through the same Partner Program. Once you qualify by either route, you accept the Shorts Monetization Module. Ad revenue from the Shorts feed goes into a pool, a share is allocated to you based on your Shorts views, and you keep 45% of that allocation (YouTube Help).

YouTube Shorts monetization in Pakistan therefore works as it does everywhere, but per-view income is far lower than long-form. Use Shorts for discovery and cut them from long-form footage. Shaheeno's Video Editor has a 9:16 preset and automatic Urdu captions; it does not clip long videos automatically, so you choose the moments.

Getting paid: AdSense in Pakistan

AdSense pays once your balance reaches $100 (Google AdSense Help). For Pakistan, wire transfer to a bank account and cheque are available, EFT is not (YouTube Help), and Western Union Quick Cash is available for YouTube payments up to $5,000 per payment (Google AdSense Help).

Submit your US tax information in AdSense. Google withholds US tax on earnings from US viewers once tax info is on file; the rate applied to your account is shown in AdSense, so check it there rather than trusting a figure from a video.

Tax on YouTube income in Pakistan

Since 1 July 2026, under Section 154B of the Finance Act 2026, banks deduct 5% withholding when YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok revenue reaches a Pakistani account. It is a minimum tax for residents on the Active Taxpayers List; non-filers are reportedly charged 10% (Profit; ProPakistani).

FBR's September 2026 special procedure treats taxable income as the higher of actual earnings or Rs 195 per 1,000 monetised YouTube views, with expenses capped at 30% of revenue (Arab News). Brand-deal payments are a separate matter and can fall under Section 153 withholding. This is not tax advice: read our creator tax guide and confirm your position with a tax adviser or FBR.

YouTube automation in Pakistan: what it is and the real risks

YouTube automation means running a faceless channel where scripts, voiceover and editing are outsourced or generated, and the owner manages the pipeline. Courses sold under the 'YouTube automation Pakistan' label often pitch it as passive income.

The risk is monetisation policy. YouTube excludes inauthentic content, renamed from 'repetitious content' in July 2025 and covering mass-produced or template-like videos, and reused content taken from YouTube or elsewhere without meaningful original commentary or changes (YouTube Help). A channel stitched from stock clips and a synthetic voice can grow and still be refused monetisation.

Course sellers' income screenshots are not evidence: they rarely show the RPM, the audience's country or what the outsourcing cost. Honest verdict: a faceless channel can work if it adds original research, writing and editing viewers cannot get elsewhere; one built on volume and reused material is a policy risk, not a business.

Who is the richest YouTuber in Pakistan?

Nobody knows for certain, because YouTube does not publish creator earnings and creators rarely disclose theirs. Lists naming the richest YouTuber in Pakistan or the highest paid YouTuber in Pakistan estimate income from public view counts multiplied by an assumed RPM, which is the same guesswork as the calculator above, only presented as fact. We do not name creators here; such rankings go stale quickly.

Brand deals: the second income stream

Brand deals do not depend on YouTube's ad rates or on Partner Program status; a brand pays for access to your audience. On Shaheeno, a Pakistan-only marketplace priced in PKR, creators publish gigs at their own prices and send proposals to brand campaign briefs. Every profile labels its follower figures as synced from a connected account or creator-provided, and brands also discover channels through pages such as top YouTube influencers.

The brand funds each order up front into its Shaheeno wallet (escrow). When the brand approves the delivery, the money moves to your wallet minus your plan's commission (creator pricing), and your first released order is commission-free. Withdrawals go to a Pakistani bank, JazzCash or Easypaisa with no payout fee; the Shaheeno team reviews and sends each request by hand. Start on the for creators page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does YouTube pay for 1,000 views in Pakistan?

YouTube publishes no official rate. Third-party estimates for Pakistan-audience content put RPM at roughly $0.20 to $2 per 1,000 views, with Shorts far lower. FBR's 2026 tax benchmark assumes Rs 195 per 1,000 monetised views, which is a tax assumption rather than a YouTube rate. Once monetised, your real RPM appears in YouTube Studio, and it depends on viewer country, topic and season.

Is the YouTube Partner Program available in Pakistan?

Yes. As of October 2026 the standard YouTube Partner Program is available in Pakistan: 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 1,000 subscribers plus 10 million Shorts views in 90 days. The 500-subscriber tier is not offered in Pakistan. From 1 February 2027 new applicants need 8,000 watch hours or 20 million Shorts views. Check YouTube Studio → Earn.

Can you earn from YouTube Shorts in Pakistan?

Yes. After joining the YouTube Partner Program and accepting the Shorts Monetization Module, Pakistani creators earn from ads in the Shorts feed. Revenue goes into a pool, a share is allocated by your Shorts views, and you keep 45% of it. Per-view income is far lower than long-form, so Shorts work best as a way to attract subscribers to longer videos rather than as the main earner.

Is YouTube automation in Pakistan a real way to earn?

It can be, but the risks are real. Faceless channels built on reused clips or mass-produced, template-like videos can fail YouTube's inauthentic content and reused content policies and be refused monetisation. Income screenshots from course sellers rarely show RPM or audience country. A faceless channel that adds original research, writing and editing is far safer than one built on volume.

Is YouTube income taxed in Pakistan?

Yes. Since 1 July 2026, under Section 154B, banks deduct 5% withholding when YouTube revenue reaches a Pakistani account; non-filers are reportedly charged 10%. FBR's special procedure taxes the higher of actual earnings or Rs 195 per 1,000 monetised views, with expenses capped at 30%. This is not tax advice; confirm your position with a tax adviser or FBR.
