Umeed to Shaheen: the tier ladder, explained

What unlocks each tier, why commission falls as you climb, and how fast creators are moving.

Shaheeno's tiers run Umeed, Parwaaz, Baaz and Shaheen. You move up on completed, on-time, undisputed deals — not on follower count — and the commission Shaheeno takes falls at every step. A creator with 8,000 engaged followers and a clean delivery record will out-earn one with 80,000 and two disputes.

The ladder is built on delivery, not reach

Almost every influencer platform ranks creators by audience size, because audience size is the number that is easy to read off an API. It is also the number that correlates worst with whether a brand's campaign will go well. Reach tells you how many people could see the post. It tells you nothing about whether the post will exist by the deadline.

So the tiers key off delivery history: gigs completed, delivered inside the agreed window, closed without a dispute. A creator entering at Umeed with no history is not penalised for being new — they are simply unproven, and the ladder is the mechanism for becoming proven quickly.

What each tier changes

Climbing does three things, in rough order of how much creators care about them:

  • Commission falls. This is the direct financial reward and the clearest signal that the platform's incentives point the same way as yours — we earn less per deal from the creators who cause the fewest problems.
  • Ranking improves. Higher tiers surface earlier in brand searches on the marketplace, which compounds: more visibility produces more completed deals, which produces a higher tier.
  • Access widens. Some brand briefs are restricted to proven tiers, particularly campaigns with a fixed launch date where a missed deadline is not recoverable.

How fast people are actually moving

Faster than most new creators expect. Because the ladder counts deals rather than followers, a micro-creator taking small gigs consistently can clear the first two rungs in a couple of months. The bottleneck is deal volume, and deal volume at the entry level is healthy — the majority of briefs posted on the marketplace are within reach of a creator with a few thousand engaged followers in a defined niche.

The creators who stall are almost never the ones with small audiences. They are the ones who accept more gigs than they can deliver in a week, miss two deadlines, and reset their own record. Taking one gig at a time until the rhythm is established is dull advice that works.

A note on what the tier is not

The tier is not a quality judgement on your content. A Shaheen badge means a brand can rely on you to deliver what you agreed, when you agreed it. It does not mean your work is better than a creator at Parwaaz, and brands should not read it that way. Look at the portfolio for craft; look at the tier for reliability. They are different questions and conflating them leads brands to hire the wrong person.
